Job Description

As part of the Thermo Fisher Scientific team, you’ll discover meaningful work that makes a positive impact on a global scale. Join our colleagues in bringing our Mission to life every single day to enable our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner and safer. We provide our global teams with the resources needed to achieve individual career goals while helping to take science a step beyond by developing solutions for some of the world’s toughest challenges, like protecting the environment, making sure our food is safe or helping find cures for cancer.

DESCRIPTION

At Thermo Fisher Scientific, you’ll support the supply chain for Sunnyvale consumables serving the APAC region. In this role, you’ll coordinate escalations with APAC order management teams and the Sunnyvale factory by keeping escalation tickets current, providing delivery estimates, exchanging order and supply information, and leading a weekly review meeting.

You’ll help prioritize urgent demand by segregating stock in SAP and manually allocating available inventory to the most urgent requirements. You’ll work closely with planning, purchasing, logistics, and local APAC teams to resolve supply constraints and support customer commitments. This is a coordination and escalation role; local APAC order management teams handle order entry and linked stock transfer orders.

REQUIREMENTS

Mandatory

•Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of experience in supply chain operations, order management, or a related field.
•In-depth knowledge of order processing, including sales order management, stock transfer orders, purchase orders, and stock locations in SAP.
•Understanding of global supply chains and how supply, inventory, and order flows connect across regions.
•Experience using SAP and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
•Ability to assess urgency, segregate stock in the system, and manually allocate available inventory to the most urgent demand.
•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
•Clear communication and collaboration skills for working with APAC order management teams and the Sunnyvale factory.
•Availability to lead a weekly APAC team meeting from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. after standard working hours.
•Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining a customer-focused approach.

Preferred

•Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
•CSCP, CPIM, or equivalent professional certification.
•Experience with process improvement methods such as PPI, Lean, or Six Sigma.
•Project coordination experience and strong organizational skills.
•Fluency in additional languages beyond English.
•Experience in regulated industries, such as GMP or FDA-regulated environments.
•Familiarity with international trade compliance and shipping requirements.
•Experience with demand planning, forecasting tools, data analysis, or reporting.
•Track record of identifying and implementing process improvements.
