Job description

Alice & Bob is developing the first universal, fault-tolerant quantum computer to solve the world’s hardest problems.

The quantum computer we envision building is based on a new kind of superconducting qubit: the Schrödinger cat qubit 🐈‍⬛. In comparison to other superconducting platforms, cat qubits have the astonishing ability to implement quantum error correction autonomously!

We're a diverse team of 250+ brilliant minds from over 35 countries united by a single goal: to revolutionise computing with a practical fault-tolerant quantum machine. Are you ready to take on unprecedented challenges and contribute to revolutionising technology? Join us, and let's shape the future of quantum computing together!

Responsibilities:

•Research to content: Turn research papers and results into different assets: blog posts, static visual explainers like infographics, and animations. Produce blog posts and write plans, using AI tools where relevant.
•Scientist interviews: Participate in meetings with scientists or subject matter experts, help prepare interviews on paper findings, and brief marketing colleagues afterwards.
•Videos & visuals: Work on scripts and storyboards for videos, and create briefs for illustrators, designers and other visual assets.
•Longer formats: Support longer formats such as reports and white papers.
•Landscape watch: Monitor the quantum computing landscape and suggest content ideas.
•Content planning: Help maintain our trackers and content planning tools for papers.

Requirements:

•Final-year Master’s student in Physics or a technical field with a desire to move into communications, or in Marketing, Communications or a related field with a strong interest in science and, ideally, a first experience in a deep tech or science startup or in communicating science or tech.
•Looking for a 6-month internship starting January–March 2027
•Fluent in English
•Good eye for quality content: able to judge whether a piece is accurate, clear and on-brand, and to correct and refine it using tools including AI until it reaches the right standard
•Ability to take complex science and turn it into simplified, engaging narratives
•Visual thinker and natural storyteller, with a good eye and sense of impactful design
•Collaborative, a fast learner, with high attention to detail and quality standards

Nice to have:

•Physics or quantum computing knowledge, especially for marketing profiles
•Further experience in a startup or scale-up environment

Benefits:

•1 day off per month
•Half of transportation cost coverage (as per French law)
•Meal vouchers with Swile, as well as access to a fully equipped and regularly stocked kitchen
