About the Role

As the Cleaning Assistant, you will be a key part of the Workplace Operations team, working closely with another Cleaning Assistant, Receptionist, and Office Manager to ensure a clean, organized, and well-kept workplace. In this role, your primary responsibility will be ensuring a clean and safe environment for employees and visitors.

This is an on-site role that requires daily presence in the office. The role involves physical work, including lifting, stocking, and moving materials as needed.

This position is structured as a temporary-to-permanent opportunity. Employment terms, including eligibility for company-sponsored benefits, will vary based on whether the individual is employed on a temporary or permanent basis.

Key Responsibilities

Office Cleaning & Maintenance

•Clean and maintain all office areas across three floors, including kitchens, bathrooms, staircases, and common spaces.

•Perform daily custodial tasks such as trash removal, dusting, mopping, and general upkeep.

•Restock cleaning and office supplies, notifying the Office Manager of any supply needs.

•Coordinate with building maintenance staff and report any necessary repairs or concerns to the Office Manager.

•Keep storage areas, including closets, cabinets, conference rooms, and shelving neat and organized.

•Adhere to safety guidelines and promptly report any safety hazards or incidents to supervisors promptly.

•Respond promptly and professionally to employee inquiries or concerns.

Kitchen & Bathroom Maintenance

•Ensure kitchen areas are clean, organized, and well-stocked with beverages, snacks, and utensils.

•Maintain bathroom cleanliness, including restocking necessary supplies (soap, paper towels, etc.).

Additional Responsibilities

•Assist with laundering office towels.

•Support other office management tasks as needed to maintain a smooth and efficient workplace.

•Assist with ad hoc projects such as preparing, setting up, and cleaning up for company events and catering.

Qualifications

•Previous experience in a cleaning or janitorial role is a plus but no required.

•Maintain a high level of professionalism with employees and visitors

•Clear and effective communication with team and supervisors

•Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.

•Adaptability to changes in schedules or tasks.

•Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move cleaning equipment and supplies.

•Speak English fluently.

•Basic understanding of cleaning techniques and safety protocols.

•Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks.

•Team-oriented with a cooperative attitude and a willingness to supports colleagues.

•Have a hands-on, proactive mentality, ready to assist where needed.

This position will start as a temporary role, with the potential to become permanent. While temporary, the employee will not be eligible for the Firm’s benefits, vacation, or holiday programs, but will be eligible for sick leave in accordance with applicable law and Firm policy. If the role becomes permanent, the employee will be eligible for the compensation and benefits offered with the permanent position. A permanent position is not guaranteed.

Base Salary

$25 — $27 USD
