035063 2nd shift Production Associate (Open)

Job Description:

Build your skills in an entry-level manufacturing role at Greif. You will help prepare materials, support production and check and package finished products. No previous manufacturing experience is required. We provide training for assigned tasks and welcome people who are dependable, work safely and are ready to learn.

Location: 70 Better Way, Chicopee, MA 01022

Job type: Full-time, regular

Base pay: $18.86 per hour

Schedule: Monday - Friday 2:00pm - 10:30pm (possible overtime)

What You'll Do

Your day-to-day tasks will depend on your plant and assigned production area & shift. Responsibilities may include the following, with training provided for your assigned work:

•Prepare, move, load and unload materials to support production.

•Assist with or operate assigned equipment after completing required training and authorization.

•Check products against work instructions and record counts or quality results as trained.

•Pack, stack, wrap, band or label products, depending on your assignment.

•Keep work areas orderly and report equipment or quality concerns promptly.

•Follow safety procedures, wear required protective equipment and ask for help when a task is unclear or unsafe.

What We're Looking For

•Dependability and availability for the posted schedule and potential overtime requirements as needed.

•Willingness to learn, follow work and safety instructions, and work with others.

•Ability to communicate questions or concerns and pay attention to product quality.

•Ability to learn the basic counting, measuring and recordkeeping needed for assigned tasks.

•Ability to perform the essential duties, with or without reasonable accommodation.

•Prior manufacturing experience a plus but not required.

Compensation Range:

The pay for this position is $18.86 per hour. The position may also be eligible for a short-term incentive.
